Welcome to the Kitigan Zibi Anishnabe Language Site.

This Algonquin language site has been enriched in order, to give our people the opportunity to learn some fundamentals of the language. This site is also open to anyone else with an interest in the Algonquin Language.

Our elders have always told us that our language is a gift from the creator, for which we hold the sacred duty to maintain and pass on to future generations. The Algonquin language is tied to the land, and the survival of the language will ensure the survival of the land. We also have a responsibility to do what we can, to ensure the survival of the Algonquin language.
